About this Adventure

Our bushcraft courses are flexible and tailored to the participants. This half-day course will teach you the basics of knife, axe and saw safety, what each of the tools are used for, and how best to use them effectively.

Detailed Info

Timings will depend on the venue and the group. Half day sessions run for approximately four hours, and can be also run in the evenings in the summer months. The session will begin with introductions and a safety briefing, so it is essential that all participants are there on time.

Instruction will be provided with ratios of approximately 1 instructor to 7 participants. This allows for a personalised and differentiated learning environment. If there are any particular needs of the participants, then please let us know in advance so we can ensure that your instructor is prepared.

We will be primarily using fixed-blade knives (sheath knives) and hand axes. If you have your own equipment, then please bring it along to practice with. If not, then we will provide Mora Companion sheath knives and Hultafors axes for your use. We will also be using Bahco Laplander folding saws. We find these tools to be very dependable pieces of equipment for general use.
