Four Day Knoydart Mountain Expedition

About this Adventure

Knoydart has several Munro mountains within the peninsula which you will climb. You will travel across the peninsula, finishing at the small town Inverie for a well-deserved refreshment after four days.

Knoydart

Knoydart is found in the west of Scotland, a little way up from Fort William. It is a peninsula which is surrounded by Loch Nevis to the south, Loch Hourn to the north, the Atlantic to the west, and an unbroken range of mountains to the east. There are only two ways to reach Knoydart - either by foot over the mountains (a two day hike), or by boat. We usually choose the boat when we want to get there quickly.

Unless we make other arrangements, we will meet you at the harbour in Mallaig on the morning of your adventure. There may also be an evening briefing the night before, depending on the adventure you are embarking on. Most clients will want to arrive the evening before and stay overnight in one of Mallaig's bed and breakfasts or bunkhouses. We recommend this as a way to ensure that you are on time for the boat trip the next morning, and that you are refreshed and ready to make the most of your adventure!

There are a number of parking places at Mallaig. There is a large long-stay car park as you reach Mallaig, which is where we recommend. There are also a number of small on-street parking lots in Mallaig itself.
